I was at my local camera shop a few days ago and I noticed a new lens on the shelf. I’m there often enough to know when there is a new lens. So, I asked Cody to show it to me, and it turned out to be a Canon EF 28mm 2.8. I haven’t owned this lens since the early 90s. I needed to buy it. So, I bought it. The next day I mounted it to my EOS 10s and hit the streets. The thing is, I rarely go out with just a 28mm lens.
I have a few 28mm lenses, but my favorite ones are the Pentax M42 mount 28mm lens and the Nikon Series E 28mm lens.
After picking up the EF 28mm 1:2.8, it inspired me to take out three lenses for three photowalks to see how I handle just shooting wide angle as the only lens on a photowalk.
What did I learn? I like to get out of my comfort zone from time to time and 28mm lenses are great for street photography.
