Big bike race in a small town
19 June 2016, Nevada City California
The Nevada City Classic bike race is a great little race in the old gold mining town, Nevada City. It’s a fun race to watch. The riders head up a steep hill with dramatic turns and loop back around a long smooth turn downhill. It’s pretty dramatic too. It’s a hard ride, and these bike racers come prepared to go hard.
The narrow streets and sidewalks make it fun to watch the race. However, I don’t like the ugly orange fencing they put up to keep people out of the streets. I get it, I just don’t like it.
