We Made It Out Alive! Treefort Day 5

- Posted in Live Music by

Day five was a lot of fun. Despite waking up to a couple of inches of snow, it turned quite nice, it rapidly melted way. I took it easier than the previous four days and I still managed to photograph ten shows.

Early in the day, I spent a little time with a couple of my cohorts, Todd and Daniel talking about the festival and the jobs we do, how we do it, and why we do it. That was a quite a good time, I don't often get to talk to other photographers. Talking shop is nice. We complain about some aspects of work, but we've come to the conclusion that it's a great job. We get to hang out with incredibly talented musicians every weekend and take their pictures. Over these five days at dozens of venues, photographers get to know each other. We see each other every couple of hours at different performances, doing our jobs…we work for different media outlets, but we have a mutual respect for each other's work. This is just the nature of Treefort. This event is amazing for show-goers and music media professionals alike. The positive atmosphere is a real pleasure to work in.
