I just picked up a AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm lens. I do own an AI 55mm Micro and the AF Nikkor 105mm D version as well, so I didn't know I needed this lens, but it turns out, I do.
On the Nikon D750 the auto-focus is snappy, on the F100 it's not. The AF-S 50mm f1.8 is much faster to grab focus. That is something to keep in mind.
The lens isn't too heavy at 15.91 ounces (451s), but it does outweigh the AF-S 50mm f1.8 which comes in at 6.46 ounces (183g). Which is just about half the weight. Macro-lenses are generally larger and heavier than their non-macro counterparts.
I also have the 105mm Macro-Lens, which is also a very nice lens. I think the 60mm is more practical for day to day use.
I think the bokeh is very nice with this lens. It is a lovely lens for flower photography.
